I've mentioned my personal reasons for starting this forum previously, but I just want to emphasize that this is an independent board and that we do not receive any affiliate or other compensation, none of the content is paid. (Indeed, we prohibit this.) The board host does use a redirect to the links we include, however you should immediately get to the target of any links, and we do not receive any compensation. My personal reasons for exploring this market include wanting to ship a hardware product myself, so I very much appreciate my interaction with others in this community. It's an independent board everyone is welcome to participate in line with our rules.
I think people here will appreciate that we are not beholden to any one partner. We can discuss all competitors here, all parts of the market, from Arduino to PIC, from Raspberry Pi to Banana Pi to Orange Pi to Odroid to Intel. When it comes to manufacturing, we are not supported by anyone in particular.
This makes us extremely independent and is one of the reasons I started this forums. Unlike other forums, we also try to be extremely transparent.
